Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm | Jackets

Smulders has built 28 jackets for the Beatrice offshore wind farm by order of Seaway Heavy Lifting.

Every Smulders location had its own share in this project. The final assembly took place at our yard in Newcastle upon Tyne (England).

We additionally built 18 bottom sections by order of Bifab. These were built, together with the top sections (delivered by Bifab), at our yard in Newcastle.

The Beatrice wind farm comprises 84 Siemens turbines with a total capacity of 588MW. The wind farm is located in the Outer Moray Firth, off the north coast of Scotland and will produce enough energy for approximately 470,000 homes.
